If you know Callie very well, you know she LOVES the band Metro Station. Last night they came in concert so we went with Kim and her daughter Lindsey. We drove down town and the closer we got to the venue, the scarier the neighborhood got. We finally arrived in a ghetto industrial areas that appeared to be populated by homeless people. We parked and walked as briskly as we could (don't make eye contact) to the venue but I was beginning to question whether this was such a good idea. Then we saw the HUGE line we had to wait in just to get inside and I really wanted to run back to the car and go home. But we stayed. The concert started at 6pm but there were three bands scheduled to play before Metro station even went on. So, we found a spot to stand and there we stayed the entire FOUR hours we were there. My feet and back were killing, but when Metro Station finally hit the stage Callie lit right up. I thought she was going to pass out she was so excited.

As you can see, the venue was very small so we were actually pretty close to the stage which was very exciting for Callie. Unfortunately, that also meant we were all deaf by the time we left...the back of Callie(R) and Lindsey's (L) headsWe got home late and we were both very tired and sore this morning but Callie woke up with a huge smile and announced that last night was the best night of her life. Awe...and that made it all worthwhile.

Yay you! I'm so glad Callie had fun, even it did break your back. It's something she'll remember for the rest of her life.
